PASTOR: Rev. Sandra comes to us from Leesville UMC in Batesburg-Leesville, SC where she served for the past 7 years. Her husband of 40 years, the Rev. Steven King serves the Bramlett-Owings Charge in Gray Court. They have a daughter, Lisa and her husband, Michael who live in Spartanburg with their precious grandchildren, Kendall (8) and Bailey (5).
Sandra and Steve enjoy reading, camping, kayaking and spending time with family. They have a beagle-mix named Abby and a red-eared slider (turtle) named Zippy.
ADMINISTRATOR: Cheryl has been with Disciples UMC for over 15 years. She is married with two (2) grown children. A son, Drew (28), who is a software engineer and Cyber Security and a daughter, KodiJean (21), who is a Senior in college and a Collegiate Athlete (Soccer GoalKeeper). She is also the "mom" of two (2) Chinese Cresteds, DandyLion & Stealie. In her spare time she enjoys working in her yard, spending time with family and big time passion Photography.
CONGREGATIONAL CARE: Bill assists the congregation in providing direction of the Stephen Ministers Program. He also oversees the ministry to Senior Adults and co-ordinates helping ministries during times of crisis for families.
ORGANIST/PIANIST: Patty is the accompanist for the Chancel Choir. She is married and has two (2) grown children. The joy of her life is to teach fourth grade. A member of Disciples UMC since 1990, Patty has been the church musician since 1994. She also teaches piano lessons and enjoys reading, cooking and hiking.
CHILD DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR: Barb McInerney has been a member of Disciples UMC since 1981. She holds an M.Ed. and has been actively involved in Children's Ministry for over 30 years. Barb is also a member of the Handbell Choir and serves as a Stephen Minister for Disciples UMC. Barb and her husband Michael, have four (4) grown children. in her spare time she enjoys sewing, baking, smocking, quilting and spending time with her family.
DIRECTOR OF COUNSELING CENTER & COUNSELOR: Jennifer has worked in the Mental Health Field for 18 years, and with Addictions for 8 years, and with the DUMC Counseling Center for 5+ years. She holds her Undergraduate in Psychology from University of North Carolina-Greensboro and Graduate in Counseling from Webster University. A Licensed Professional Counselor - SC, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - SC, Certified Addictions Counselor - SC, Master's Addictions Counselor - National.
COUNSELOR: Zack Freeman has been a licensed master social worker for the state of South Carolina for over three years. Also, he is a certified addictions counselor. He has years of experience in individual and group counseling, solutions-focused therapy, case management and cognitive-behavioral therapy. He is originally from Iva, SC, but currently resides in Greenville, SC.
He grew up in a Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where his love for God began. He is a member of Mountain View CME Church in Iva, SC.
