Join us as we begin another year of jewelry making from recycled bulletins. All are welcome. Bring your friends. No experience needed. We’ll show you how to roll the beads and design the jewelry. Everyone can help in some part of the process. The entire line of Beads of Hope jewelry is packaged, individually priced, and displayed for sale on a revolving stand in the narthex next to the glass cabinet. These items can be purchased anytime from Cheryl Turner or Bill Whipple on Sundays or a church office volunteer on weekdays M-F, 10-2. Funds raised from these sales benefit missions through the United Methodist World Service Fund. A BIG THANK YOU to all who supported the World Service Fund Apportionment. What is the World Service Fund? The World Service Fund is one of seven apportioned funds basic to the financial program of The United Methodist Church. The World Service Fund is the financial lifeline to a long list of Christian mission and ministry throughout the denomination here and around the world. Each United Methodist church is asked to pay their portion of these 7 funds through Apportionments. Disciples portion of the World Service Fund for 2018 was $3,523. Through Kids for Christ Sunday School Class weekly offering, Beads of Hope jewelry sales, and designated gifts we met this goal!! We thank you for supporting this important fund and look forward to your continued help in 2019.
