Beads of Hope ~ Monday, July 22, 2019 at 1:00pm
Trip Plans to Pendleton: It’s time to spruce up the Beads of Hope consignment display at Mountain Made in Pendleton. This is always a fun outing! We want to do this in July. Tentative dates are Wednesday or Friday (July 12 or 17). We will leave from the church at 10:00, stop at Mountain Made first then shop & eat at the quaint places around the town square. You don’t have to be part of the Beads of Hope Group to go. Just email Cheryl firstname.lastname@example.org,, or talk to her at church to attend. When the date has been confirmed with Mountain Made, Cheryl will email the group. Remember Beads of Hope
When You Need a Quick & Unique Gift: The jewelry is made from recycled bulletins and packaged with a message about hope & prayer. The entire line of Beads of Hope jewelry is packaged, individually priced, and is always displayed for sale on the revolving stand in the narthex next to the glass cabinet. It’s convenient for you and helps others, because the proceeds from all jewelry sales benefit missions through the United Methodist World Service Fund. Beads of Hope can be purchased anytime from Cheryl Turner or Bill Whipple on Sundays or a church office volunteer on weekdays Mon.-Thur. 10:00am - 2:00pm.
The SPRC will meet on Tuesday, July 23rd at 7:00pm in the Drama Room.
Adult Fellowship Pizza & A Movie ~ Friday, July 26, 6:00 PM
The evening begins in Fellowship Hall with Pizza from Tony’s New York Style Pizzeria. Then we move to the Sanctuary to watch the movie, on our big screen. “Faith Like Potatoes” - Based on a true story.
Angus Buchan, a white Scottish farmer, moves his family to South Africa and suffers a series of seemingly insurmountable losses. Through unlikely friendships and much needed divine intervention, he discovers his life’s true purpose. A moving life journey of a man who, like potatoes, grows his faith, unseen until the harvest. The cost: $8.00/person - What a deal!
To register: Sign up on the Adult Fellowship Clipboard between the Narthex Information Window & kitchen door. Check your pizza preference. Deadline to sign-up and make payment is July 21. Use the envelopes for prepayment next to the sign-up board and place in the Adult Fellowship mailbox outside the Choir Room or give to Tom Turner. If writing a check, please make it payable to Tom Turner.
